  20.      editing pointer that initially points to the end of the definition.  The
  21.      system appends all new routines at that pointer location until you call
  22.      cccclllloooosssseeeeoooobbbbjjjj or until you call a routine that repositions the editing
  23.      pointer, such as oooobbbbjjjjddddeeeelllleeeetttteeee,,,, oooobbbbjjjjiiiinnnnsssseeeerrrrtttt,,,, or oooobbbbjjjjrrrreeeeppppllllaaaacccceeee.
